I repaired my vehicle with European motor Works. It was a 2014 Mercedes GL 350. The manager that worked there advised us my wife that the alignment would cost me $260. Afterwords, I found out by a reputable shop that there’s no difference in aligning a Mercedes do any other vehicle, the owner try to tell me that the alignment was special because it was a Mercedez. Long story short for a $2.60 lightbulb they charge me Close to $300 to replace it, they never called me beforehand, to discuss how much it would cost as, I thought it wouldn’t be much, I was gravely mistaken, and to top it off, o the other day I change the same lightbulb on the opposite side of the vehicle by myself it took me less than five minutes and it cost me $2.66 . They were also not very transparent with their pricing as I try to order a set of tires from them he then knowingly charge me almost $300 more for the same tires. I got online for a lot cheaper the clothes he also gave me for doing the transmission service was over $500 higher than a transmission shop that actually has experience after seeing the bill for the lightbulb change. I decided I told the owner that I will not need those tires anymore as I feel like I got screwed over. The shop found a manager was very angry because he couldn’t screw me over and further and that I caught onto his shady business .This is not just a review by an amateur I’ve been in the car industry for over two years first and honestly, I know exactly the ins and outs of how they charge on by looking at how he screws consumers over without knowing he should be held accountable by amvic. The other day, I also decided to change my own air filter and saw that they never reattached the clamp that goes to the turbo if that turbo would’ve failed due to anything debris coming in at that would’ve cost me thousands of dollars. So no I don’t think you should take your vehicle here ! they are not transparent and whatever naïve person takes their vehicle to the shop, make sure you do your homework beforehand, i’ve seen countless times how people that have a little experience, and just pay whatever.
Good Morning Jan and let me be the first to apologize for the experience you had at our shop. It seems there must have been some serious miscommunication here as we are not in the business of doing shady transactions and our goal is to give each and every customer the best service possible. I am sorry that we did not deliver on this here for you. If you are wanting to discuss this further please give our Manager a call, Jerry, and he would be more than happy to discuss the situation and work on a resolution with you. Again, we are sorry you are feeling this way and would like the opportunity to make things right. Take care and hope to talk to you soon. Thanks, AEMW Team.
